There comes a time when even those who would prefer to be left alone must engage in the debate. For many years, it has been far too easy to wave a lazy hand in the direction of lost freedoms, to opine about the nature of lost rights, to accept our detractors claims that we haven’t done enough to help the needy, and to listen to those who would berate our efforts to export our freedoms to the world. We must realize that we are a nation that does more for its citizenry, and the citizenry of the world, than any other nation on this planet. Where others talk, America walks.
